Aerial photographs taken around Nishinoshima（Second report）

　Geospatial Information Authority of Japan took aerial photographs around Nishinoshima on February 16th, and has released these photographs and 3D-images publicly.
　This is the third time that photographs have been taken, following on from the photographs of December 4th and 17th.

• Analysis of these aerial photographs showed that the highest elevation point on Nishinoshima was approximately 66m (reference values : see Attachment 1).
• This highest elevation point moved 7m in a southeasterly direction from the highest elevation point as of December 17th (which was approximately 39m) (see Attachment 2).
• The volume of newly emitted lava, etc. observed above the sea level was approximately 800,000 cubic meters as of December 17th, but remarkably increased to approximately 7,900,000 cubic meters as of February 16th (see Attachment 3).

  We have also publicly released topographic interpretation map (see Attachment 4) produced on the basis of these new aerial photographs.
